Ba Ria Vung Tau Introduction

Ba Ria Vung Tau, a coastal province, is located in the south-east part of Vietnam. The province shares a 16km border with Ho Chi Minh city to the west, Dong Nai to the north, Binh Thuan to the east, and the south. To the southwest of the province is the East Sea. The coast stretches over 300km. 

Population: over 1 million people

Total area: 1,989 km2 with mountains, and delta.

 In terms of administration, the province is divided into 8 units including Ba Ria city, Vung Tau city and six districts, namely Tan Thanh, Chau Duc, Xuyen Moc, Long Dien, Dat Do, Con Dao island. Vung Tau city is famous for tourism. BA Ria city is the political, and socio-economic center of the province. Tan Thanh and Chau Duc districts are industrial center where many industrial parks are located. Long Dien and Dat Do districts are well-known for beautiful beaches, hot spring and primeval forest. Con Dao district which is 97 nautical miles away from Vung Tau city to the south west has great potential for tourism development with famous historical sites, primeval forest and wonderful beaches.
