Firstly, Ba Ria Vung Tau is supposed to be the gateway to the East sea of the country’s southeast region and the national gateway for international trade with the port system stretching over 20km. At present, the Cai Mep Thi Vai port cluster can accommodate vessels up to 130,000 DWT.  The distance from the province to the new Long Thanh International Airport, which is planned to break ground on 2015, is only 30-70km, to Tan Son Nhat International Airport approximately 125km. The province is at the ending point of the Trans-Asia road network.

Secondly, the province offer investors a huge domestic market with high purchasing power as it is in the center of Southern Key Economic Zone of Vietnam, the most dynamic industrial heart of Vietnam, namely Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Duong province, Binh Phuoc province, Tay Ninh province, Tien Giang province, Long An province and Dong Nai province. On top of that, the infrastructure in the province is very developed and well-connected. Besides the state-of-the-art sea ports, the there are also airports and convenient waterways and marine network connecting to other provinces and the region.
