Pre-engineered steel structure industry has been popular in Asia and Vietnam due to the economic benefits, construction safety and environmental friendly. Pre-engineered steel structures are easily found in many works of industrial construction.
After 19 years of presence in Vietnam and Asian countries, PEB Steel now has four factories located on the area of 62,000m2 in Dong Xuyen Industrial Park, Vung Tau City with the capacity of 120,000 tons/year, three representative offices in Vietnam (HCMC, Ha Noi and Da Nang) and offices in Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Qatar, India, Bangladesh with about 1,000 employees.
With the great sensitivity of an international banker and a sharp strategic vision of an entrepreneur, Mr. Adib Kouteili – CEO of PEB Steel and his partner, cum his brother, Mr. Sami Kteili – General Director of PEB Steel saw Vietnam as market of a great potentials in 1994. They decided to invest in the first pre-engineered steel structure factory in Vietnam.
In PEB Steel, quality is always placed at the top priority and the customer is oriented as the company’s partner, and strategic shareholder. All the company’s products are manufactured to ASTM standards of the US and materials are imported from Japan and Korea.
As the company always places the importance on social responsibility on parallel with its development process, the four factories are operating in accordance with the environmental criteria stipulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The entire management process from production to human resources complies with ISO 9001.
PEB Steel also provides many green products which use environmentally friendly materials in order to bring a better life for the community. PEB Steel joined many green projects: project for Nike shoes in Tay Ninh province, Olympus project in Long Thanh IP, Dong Nai province. As a recognition of the company’s efforts, PEB Steel was awarded with the prize “For the national green environment”.
According to Mr. Adib Kouteili, CEO of PEB Steel, Vietnam is the perfect option for investment. “When I started up my business, I didn’t know any other option better than Vietnam. Vietnam is the destination to make dream come true. In Canada, you need huge initial capital to set up your own business. However, in Vietnam, with only USD 200,000 you can establish a small pub or a language training center.” He highly appreciate the love for education and hospitality of Vietnamese people. They are the features that make him and his friends feel much comfortable with the life and working environment in Vietnam. “Although Vietnam has to face inflation and other difficuties caused by economic crisis, I still believe Vietnam will overcome because you highly appreciate the education, you have knowledge fundamentals and work very hard”.
PEB Steel together with Nippon Steel (Japan) and POSCO (Korea) who are both partner and strategic shareholders of PEB Steel plan to add more factories the company’s network in 2014 in order to meet the growing demand of pre-engineered building in Asia and other regions.
