Grand opening ceremony of the training course of 400 technicians for supporting industry

The Department of Industry and Trade have finished the inspection of the implementation of Decision No. 02/2012/QDd-TTg dated January 13 2012 issued by the Prime Minister about the registration of sales contract form and general transaction conditions.

During the inspection of 21 companies, it is found that most of the companies do not know and fully implement the Decision. Specifically, 12 over 21 inspected companies haven’t registered sales contract form and general transaction conditions with relevant authority; the rest already registered as required. Only six companies registered with the Department of Industry and Trade. However, those who already implemented the Decision still have the following shortcomings: the general transaction conditions are not publicized; the cancelation of contract form that violates laws is not implemented; etc. As this is the first violation and there have not been any bad consequences, the department made reminding records and requested the companies to make correct actions. Besides, the Department will continue to publicize, propagandize the Law on Protection of Consumer Interests, and guide business to register contract form and general transaction conditions with relevant authority.

 It is said that the Department have been implementing the Decision No. 02/2012/QDd-TTg dated January 13 2012 issued by the Prime Minister over the past two years. However, a few companies in the province follow the Decision. Normally, in the transaction of the essential goods and services such as electricity supplies, water supplies, internet service, etc consumers have to agree with all the terms and clauses in a contract form issued by service provider which may violate consumers’ interests and do not specify service provider ‘s responsibility.
