Electricity price adjustment
The government has allowed Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to revise electricity prices twice a year instead of every three months as currently practiced. According to Decision 69/2013/QD-TTg that will take effect on January 10, 2014, average electricity prices can be revised every six months following the Government’s price frame. The incrase will be at least 7% compared to the average level. Under the electricity price frame for 2013-2015 approved by the Prime Minister, the lowest level is VND1,437 per kWh and the highest lverl VND1,835 per kWh. The current average price is VND1,508,85 per kWh.
